Estate Plan Review and Updates
Many people already have a will or powers of attorney, sometimes years old or prepared somewhere else. These two services check whether they still do what you want, and make limited changes to plans I prepared.
Existing Estate-Plan Review
$300
- A review of up to five standard estate documents, such as a will, powers of attorney, a living will, and a HIPAA authorization.
- A consultation about your goals and what has changed in your life.
- Written recommendations: what still works, what may not, and what I suggest doing next.
The review does not include drafting. If you want new documents, I quote that work separately before you decide.
Limited Plan Update
$350
- Limited changes to up to two documents I prepared for you, such as a new executor or a new health-care agent.
- One round of revisions and signing guidance.
New dispositive structures, such as a trust or a different way of leaving your property, and substantial replanning are not included.
Outside costs are extra: notary fees (up to $10 per signature), a paid witness if one is needed, printing and mailing, and any recording fees or certified copies.
